I first want to say that I an experienced DIY weekend carpenter, but not a professional by any means. Also, to be fair, I will point out that these are the first drawer slides I have ever installed. The reason I point these things out is because I think it's possible that these slides might be OK for a very experienced carpenter who has the skill to build drawers and drawer openings that are very precisely the correct widths. If you are not totally confident that your carpentry is ABSOLUTELY square and precise, these slides are going to offer you little to no operational tolerance or forgiveness. If you do install these slides, the first thing you'll want to do is throw out the included installation screws and use some good quality screws instead. The included ones are cheap quality screws made of soft metal. The Phillips head slots will likely strip and become useless, no matter how careful you are. Now, though I don't claim to be an expert or professional craftsman, I'm also not a sloppy carpenter. There might have been 1/8" in variance (at most) in the width of my drawer openings from front to back. I followed the nearly non-existent instructions that accompanied these slides. I also watched several online videos for general installation tips. I made sure the slides (in the cabinet and on the drawers) were installed level from front to back. And once all were installed, I immediately found the slide movement to be very stiff. I verified that my slides were installed level, and remeasured the width of the opening. All seemed good. Then, after testing the drawer action a few more times, on three of the drawers, ball bearings began to fall out of the slides, rolling all over the floor. Upon closer examination I found that the bearings were held in place in the slides by thin, flimsy sheet metal. This goes back to the lack of tolerance/forgiveness in these slides. When all was said and done, I pulled off all of these slides and bought some better quality slides from Home Depot. Then, without making any further alterations to my drawers or cabinet, I installed the new slides and found them all to work extremely well.Personally, I would classify these slides as "light duty" at best. They might be ok for drawers occasionally or rarely used. But I don't think they would hold up well to regular or daily use. These are great drawer slides - sturdy and well-made. At first I was impressed by the fact that in a set of 6 pairs, they gave me an extra package of screws. Turned out, I needed them. The screws are very soft - 3 broke, and several drive sockets stripped out. I've seen this in many brands of drawer slides, so it isn't just this one using cheap, worthless screws to save money. If you buy a box of 1/2" #6 screws - these slides are still a very good deal.I got these to convert a 40s tool box to roller sliders. Installation couldn't be easier. The sliders are extremely forgiving to side spacing tolerances between the drawer and body of the box. My only complaint is the bearings arnt sealed to protect it from contamination. Any slight amount of grit in the bearings and you'll never get it all out. Even after carb cleaner/ solvent to rinse it and applying new grease, theyre never the same afterward and feel really rough. Fortunately the kit came with extras. Can't really complain for the price, but still a disappointing and frustrating issue encounteredOut of the 6 pairs, two of the pairs had no screwsWorking great so far on an older dresser. Easy to install and line up. I found it was better to leave just over half an inch on each side and shim if necessary, because if you don’t give enough room to wiggle the drawers in and if they are not perfectly aligned, you will not be happy with the results. As another reviewer noted, for the cabinet mount, use the holes at the ends of the little cutout tabs, so the slide can flex outward as needed. Extra bag of screws was included, by the way. Highly recommend!Drawer slides are well made, with all necessary screws to mount included. Instructions are clear and understandable. Would recommend for any quality furniture or cabinetry project.Great product just didn’t need them.I have bought these before and I've never been disappointed. They are well priced easy to install and work well
