I purchased these to repair some old Ikea furniture that was given to me years ago. The dressers original slides were badly bent due to a toddler child using the dresser drawers as ladder rungs. So after taking measurements, these seemed like the best fit. Thankfully they worked. Though, not an exact replacement. The smaller side mount on the dresser walls. The larger side mount in the drawer slots. To get these to work, I had to first mount the smaller side on the dresser wall.No screws were included. In my case I needed six half-inch wood screws with a flat top (philips) and two M4 (metric) that were 8mm long (rounded top) per pair of slides. Your situation may be different depending on how these are used and mounted. Thankfully I tend to keep screws that I don't use from a variety of things in a large Red Vines container and was able to come up with the hardware needed for this install. The Ikea dresser slides used one screw in the middle to mount their slide on the wall with two metal tabs that slide into holes to align the ends so that they were straight. I was able to use the screw in the front hole and a speed square to align the slide, then mark the holes that I need to drill for other screws. This put it in the same location as the original side and made it easy to make sure I was installing it straight. After marking the holes, I removed the slide before drilling so that I didn't get any sawdust in the slide that could cause future problems. I drilled with a small bit to use as a pilot hole. After using this method to mount both side, I was able to insert the drawer and slide the inside slides all the way forward in the slot so that they touch the front face of the drawer. This allowed me to mark the holes where the M4 screw will go. This one I drilled all the way through using a small bit, the removed the dresser and enlarged the hole with a bit that was slightly larger or the same size as the screw, but smaller than the head. (otherwise, washers will be needed which would merit the need for a longer M4 screw. It's possible to install two M4 screws per slide, but the two threaded holes are close to each other, so I don't feel it is needed. At this point the drawer was mounted and I was able to verify that it is correct, which it was. I did this to all the rest of my drawers, and now it is like a new dresser. All the drawers are evenly spaced and glide smoothly.I'd like to extend my appreciation to those who provided this product. Thank you.
