I have to say, I was a little scared when I read the reviews on how hard people said it was to put together, but honestly, all of the parts were included, and extra screws/nails were provided. The instructions are pictures only, no text, which was a bit challenging, but if you take your time, it all makes perfect sense. You'll need two people, patience, a hammer and a phillips head screwdriver to assemble. We managed to put it together on the first try with no mistakes. It is what they say, engineered wood, but seems sturdy and looks nice in my daughter's college apartment. It holds a lot of clothes. Overall, we're very happy with it.One note: there's a section of the instructions when attaching the metal drawer runners to the 2 side pieces and 1 center piece where the picture shows you should attach each of them with 4 screws, but you'll notice there are only 2 pre-drilled holes. The extra two screws are for stability, probably not necessary, but we did use them. No power tools are needed to make holes for those extra screws. We just used a hammer and small nail to make a starter hole and the screws go in super easy since it's engineered wood and not solid wood.I have been looking for a dresser that met specific size requirements for my daughter’s college apartment. I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a dresser for college, but wanted it to look stylish and create a tranquil environment with light colors. The dresser was accurately described and does look great in the space. It has eight drawers, which is helpful for organizing clothing. I do think that the handles on the drawers could be made out of something more durable than a plastic grey material. The drawers don’t fully open all of the way, but I’m okay with that. My biggest complaint is that the paint and trim damaged when trying to move it to its final destination. I would suggest building it in the space that it will be used to help maintain the dresser without chips and damage to the trim. The directions labeled the dresser pieces, but the actual pieces weren’t labeled. This made it a little confusing when building the dresser. My husband was able put the dresser together in about four hours. If you are looking for an inexpensive dresser, this might be a good choice. The dresser is shipped in two packages and the hardware is in one of the boxes. Use the Bilt app to help with assembly. Search for Tvilum 8 drawer dresser. I also used the enclosed instructions at times also. It took me a few days to put it together. That was because I couldnt spend my whole day putting it together so if you can get someone to help then it will get done sooner. Overall, Im satisfied with it. The drawers come out nice and smooth. It looks nice when finished. But the over all construction is time consuming and I don’t give it but a few years (at best) until it needs to be tightened and glued… or tossed.I’m the go to for DIY furniture, and this was rough. I could have managed the task of cleaning, prep, and finally constructing; but I was pretty peeved when two separate drawer faces were under drilled, causing the cheap particle board to explode under the slightest pressure of the screws. I re-drilled, glued and reinstalled the screws. And it worked (for now).So do I recommend it? Sure, if you have moderate knowledge of basic building, don’t need this for a long time, and have a few hours to spare. Are there better quality options in this price range? You might want to check. Would I buy it again? No. But it will work for now. For the right folks, this may be exactly what you’re looking for.I put this dresser together on my own. And between the two days I worked on it, it probably took 4-5 hours to do. It’s a lengthy instruction manual, but easy to follow. The legs under the dresser didn’t work with the position intended, either that or the screws for that step were too short, so I improvised and used hot glue for the legs. Also wish the drawers pulled out a little more so you can reach/see what’s inside each drawer. But overall happy how it turned out, will be using this double dresser for my two boys clothes. Not very sturdy. Will work great as long as you don't try and move it. I have my 65 inch tv on it and is doing just fine.I’ll be honest, it took me and a friend 4 hours straight to build and I’d say we have an average knowledge/ability to put together furniture. The pieces don’t come labeled, so you have to match the pieces with the images in the instructions as best you can to find which pieces you need. I wouldn’t say it was super complicated but it was time consuming. I’m the end I love the dresser and it’s exactly what I was looking for.The dresser arrived quick in two large boxes. Some of the wood was chipped when I opened the boxes, but I dont doubt that I banged it up when trying to carry it in. The instructions were buried under packaging styrofoam and were annoying to read. I had to have my friends boyfriend help put it together. It took about 3 hours and we were watching YouTube videos on it. Once you finally figure out the pieces, which was mind numbing, it went relatively quick. I’m not sure how sturdy is but it’ll work for what I need. For the scratched pieces, it was mainly just on top and back. I’ll put peel and stick wall paper over the top to cover. Overall pretty good dresser, def recommend taking over work and setting up assembly with delivery if you have the luxury to.
